Envizom
Legacy Angular modernization and real-time air quality dashboards for Oizom Instruments — 12+ features shipped and several bugs resolved.

.../overview...
Envizom is a real-time air quality monitoring platform for Oizom Instruments. I led the modernization of its legacy Angular codebase and built interactive dashboards that surface live sensor data — device overview maps, cluster analysis, and interpolated heatmap layers for pollutants such as NOx, SO₂, and PM₂.₅. The refactor to modern, type-safe Angular/TypeScript cut technical debt that had been slowing feature delivery, while code splitting and lazy loading kept the data-heavy UI fast.
Problem
Environmental monitoring needed real-time data visibility across geographically distributed sensor networks, but the existing Angular codebase had accumulated technical debt that slowed every new feature.
Role
Software Engineer at Oizom Instruments — owned Envizom feature delivery and the Angular modernization.
Implementation highlights
- 01Modernized the legacy Angular codebase — upgraded to the latest version and refactored to type-safe TypeScript patterns to cut the debt slowing feature delivery.
- 02Built interactive dashboards for live air quality sensor readings.
- 03Developed geospatial visualizations — device overview maps, cluster zone analysis, and interpolated pollutant heatmaps (NOx, SO₂, PM₂.₅).
- 04Applied code splitting and lazy loading to keep the data-heavy UI fast on initial load.
Outcomes
- ›Delivered 12+ new features and resolved several bugs, improving platform reliability.
- ›Modernized the codebase to current Angular with type-safe TypeScript patterns, removing the technical debt that had been slowing feature delivery.
- ›Enabled real-time monitoring and geospatial analysis for air quality stations across Ahmedabad.
